The Mrs had last week off, so we got to spend some quality time together, even after we returned the log splitter. Her brother and sister-in-law went out of town for the weekend, so she house sat/pet sat for them. Because I was going to be at Wicked Bizarre all day Saturday, she took Quinn and Finnigan with her. This meant that I had two nights by myself, which absolutely sucked. I really don’t like coming home to an empty house anymore.

On the plus side, we had a great, if hot, day at Wicked Bizarre. It’s the first of a number of outdoor shows we have scheduled.

I picked the puppies up on Sunday. We all had dinner together, then we came home to a nice cold house which lead to lots of night time snuggles.

I also had my first visit to a cider mill this weekend, so cider and donuts for breakfast has been a regular thing. This makes up for the fact that the day I was going to dig into my Count Chocula was the same day I discovered that the milk was bad.

Listening To: I finished Hell Bent on Monday. I didn’t have a lot of time to listen to anything yesterday, but I did download Marion by Leah Rowan.

Currently Reading: I’m hoping to have a little spare time in the next few days so I can go back to The Need.

Current Obsession: BattleBots.

PUPDATE!

The puppies had a fun time playing with their cousin this weekend (apparently Finnigan had to be call off of him a couple of times). The Mrs said that they were definitely a little weirded out the first night, but were much calmer come bed time on Saturday.

They were both happy to see me on Sunday, and as mentioned above, were exceptionally snuggly that night. Now that The Mrs is back at work, our routine is more or less back to normal. The only really big change seems to be that Finnigan wants to go on EVERY car ride.

Dragon’s Roost Press News

We are getting ready for another big outdoor show this Saturday: Frankenfest Detroit. This will be your chance to walk around the beautiful Historic Fort Wayne (again, the fort, not the city), visit all of the amazing vendors, take in the shows, and generally have a great day. Unless there are some last minute changes, the dragon green tent will be right across from where the aerialists will be performing.

There may be some interesting surprises like new merchandise and perhaps even a new shirt!

This Week’s Rambling: So Much To Do

We are less that 45 days from Halloween (check here if you need a countdown) and that means it’s time to start planning your outings. If you are in the Metro Detroit area, I have a few things that you might be interested in listed below. I have not included the numerous haunted attractions which began opening last weekend.

There are a lot of special movie showings, conventions, and other fun things to look forward to. I know that this is a little different from my usual hermetical life style, but if you’re going to go outside, you might as well do something spooky fun while you are out there.

I will be hosting the list on our website here and will update as I learn of new interesting events.
